After seeing an exhibit of Ansel Adam’s images in San Francisco in the 1970s, George and Jo Ann began working with 4x5 cameras and black and white film to create landscape images. On a trip to the California Mother Lode region they decided to collaborate on a fine art project of the Mother Lode and Northern Mines regions. The project, titled “The Land of Glittering Dreams,” focuses on interpreting landscapes, architecture and artifacts relating to the California Gold Rush and gold mining. George and Jo Ann’s images have been exhibited in solo and group exhibits in Northern California. In addition their images are in public and private collections in California.
